The Best Third-Party Batteries for Fujifilm XT-4 – Wasabi

It is not possible to live with one camera battery if you are travelling. OEM batteries are way too expensive that it becomes hard to buy a couple of them. Thanks to there expensive price tag people some people prefer to buy third party batteries. I have tried a couple of third part batteries but some of them were not as good as the OEM batteries. But there was one which was good enough to keep in my camera bag. It is manufactured by the company called Wasabi.

Run Time

The Wasabi batteries worked great. I did not actually count minutes/ number of pictures taken but the batteries lasted long enough like the original fuji batteries. There was a little difference between the run time of Wasabi batteries as compared to the OEM batteries. Wasabi batteries lasted a little lesser than Fujifilm batteries but that could easily be ignored keeping in mind the price tag of Fujifilm batteries.

Safety

Usually, it is hard to trust third party companies as there have been a lot of news about batteries exploding but I never heard about Wasabi batteries exploding in camera. Also, after using it for long enough I never had any issues of overheating.

Price

Original Fuji W-235 sells for around US $65 whereas a pack of two batteries and a charger (wall + car) sells for only US $44.

Pros of Wasabi

·         Cheap as compared to OEM.

·         Three years of warranty.

·         You get a car charger as well.

Cons

·         A little bit less life than OEM but that is not much of a big deal considering the price.

Conclusion

Overall, I believe Wasabi is a great option if you are on a budget but if you do not care about the money then go with the OEM batteries as it is always recommended to use original products.
